Chestnut Books Returns & Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with us. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we’re here to help.

1. Eligibility for Returns

You may return most items within 10 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is in its original condition and has not been used

  • Please inform us within 48 hours if items arrived damaged or has been mis-printed so we can inform publishers immediately

Non-returnable items include:

  • Bespoke Collections

2. How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at julia@chestnutbooks.co.uk with:

  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • The reason for the return

  • Photographs of any damage

3. Return Shipping

Unless the return is due to our error (e.g. incorrect or damaged item), customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We will provide you with returns labels if you are eligible for a free return.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7 - 10 business days.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

  • A credit note may be issued for returns requested after 10 days or for a product ordered in error.

5. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. For all other exchanges, please initiate a return first, then place a new order for the desired item.

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the issue. We’ll make it right as quickly as possible.
